Some of my favorite kitchen items!

Some of my favorite kitchen items!

Five of my favorite items I use in the bakery that YOU could use too!

When you open your kitchen cabinets are you able to see each utensil or appliance on the shelf? If you can, I applaud you. When I was just starting out my journey as a baker, I used up every piece of space I could find in the kitchen. We finally managed to get a better process down and now that we have our own store, the space is much more manageable! I was able to really see all the different tools that I had and find a place for all of them.

Now that I can actually see what all I have, I wanted to share a post with you guys of 10 of my favorite tools, utensils and appliances that I use almost on the daily! These aren't anything fancy, but simply everyday use items for baking or cooking!

1. KitchenAid Mixers.

Our number one utensil that I have both in my bakery and at home is my KitchenAid Pro mixer. I have had one of my mixers since 2015 and it is still going strong. While the pro is great for larger batches of goodies, you can also go with the slightly smaller option of the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. This smaller machine is great if you don't have much countertop space! At the bakery, we turned things up a notch and also purchased the KitchenAid Commercial Mixer. This gave us that little bit more bowl room, without having to jump up to one of the large free-standing mixers you often see in large scale bakeries!

2. Mixing Bowls.

I'm a sucker for mixing bowls. While we use a lot of the large metal bowls for baking, I regularly come back to these KitchenAid bowls! I love that they come in a set of different sizes, have multiple color options and are extremely easy for cleaning or even just popping in the dishwasher. The bowls fit inside one another, so they make it really easy to put away without taking up too much space!

3. Scales.

When it comes to measuring, I mainly make my recipes based off of lbs and oz or in cups. When I want to make sure I'm getting an accurate measurement, I reach for my scale and weigh out my ingredients usually into one of the bowls I mentioned above! I use one similar to this scale off of amazon. Be sure to keep these dry, or alternatively if you know there's a high chance of spilling on it, pick yourself up a waterproof scale!

4. Measuring Cups.

Okay, you may not be quite at the same fangirl level as I am for KitchenAid products, but so far, they have never steered me wrong. So even when it comes down to something as small as measuring spoons and cups, I love these ones from KitchenAid! And again, so many fun colors to choose from!

5. Baking Sheet Liners.

When it comes down to popping something like cookies, veggies or chicken tenders in the oven, I love the ease of placing one of these baking sheets on the pan and then putting the food on top! It makes for extremely easy removal of the food item and is super quick to clean up!

These are probably the most used items in my kitchen both at home and at the bakery! If you're needing to replace some old items, these are good options! They would also make a great housewarming or wedding gift.
